History:

Schrock began in 1937 as a family owned and operated business and remains so today! Over the past 25 years, we’ve evolved into a full service travel agency featuring individual and group cruises with major lines. Let our travel department take care of your overseas travel plans. Years of experience, dedication, and the love of traveling allow us to host motor coach excursions that are second to none in comfort, cleanliness, expert planning and fun! Our tour directors are friendly, knowledgeable, and well-prepared.

Sunday Devotions:

Occasionally we attend local church worship services when itinerary time permits. Otherwise devotions are conducted each Sunday on the motorcoach, usually while in transit.

Coach Captains:

Our coach captains are handpicked professionals, chosen for their experience, safety record, congeniality, and true concern for the welfare of our passengers. The tour directors and coach captains cooperate fully to assure you a relaxing, restful travel experience. Your enjoyment, comfort, and safety are their main concern so you will return from your vacation with many pleasant memories.

Tour Directors:

Each Schrock tour is escorted by a congenial, highly trained tour director. They are knowledgeable, courteous, eager to see to your comfort while aboard the motorcoach, and anxious to help you enjoy your travels. They are responsible for all details from the beginning to the end of the tour so you can enjoy a carefree and memorable vacation. Any special request should be brought to the attention of the Tour Director on the first day of the tour, and any concerns should be brought to their immediate attention while on the trip. There may be rare occasions when we deem it necessary to run a tour without a tour director. For example, when the numbers on a tour are too low but we run it anyway so as not to disappoint our travelers already booked. Or one day trips when passengers spend the entire day on their own.

Dress:

The wise traveler travels light. Most of our tours require casual dress and comfortable shoes. Always carry a sweater or light jacket and pack your swimsuit. An all-weather raincoat is an excellent choice on most trips. Any special or unusual clothing needs will be designated in your final tour packet, and don’t forget your camera!

Beverages:

NO alcoholic beverages are permitted on a Schrock Tour.

Responsibility:

Schrock Tours has made arrangement with hotels, transportation services and other independent parties beyond its direct control to provide you with the travel services offered. We cannot be responsible for the acts or omissions of these parties, or anyone other than Schrock Tours’ own employees. Schrock Tours will not be liable for any loss or damage, injury or death that occurs as a result of Government actions, acts of God, late arrivals, missed connections and other factors beyond our direct control. We also reserve the right to cancel or alter any advertised tour or portion thereof.

When a Tour Must Be Cancelled:

The cost of each tour in our brochure is based on the assumption that a specified minimum number of persons will participate. Thirty days before departure, we check the reservation lists to see if that required number has signed up. If the list is reasonably close, we run the tour. Occasionally only a few reservations have been received, and a decision to cancel the tour must be made. We then notify everyone with reservations and refund their money in full. We hate to cancel a tour. Before a tour is offered in our brochure, we spend many hours writing itineraries, making lodging reservations, contacting attractions, etc. All of these efforts are lost if the tour cancels. You can help us avoid cancellations by making your reservations (and encouraging your traveling friends to make theirs) early. We often receive several inquiries after a tour has been cancelled. If they had called earlier, the trip might have been possible. Remember our deposit requirements are small and usually completely refundable.

Itinerary Variations:

These tours are planned a year or more in advance. Between planning time and the actual tour operation, Schrock tours constantly strives to improve each itinerary and all features to your advantage, convenience and enjoyment. If improvements can be made or unforeseen conditions beyond our control deem necessary, we reserve the right to vary itineraries and prices and substitute facilities equivalent or of better value. During local or national holidays and Sundays, certain features such as museums, sightseeing tours and shopping may be limited or unavailable. In such instances, and whenever possible, itinerary adjustments and substitutions are made to minimize inconvenience.

NASCAR Race Rain Delay:

In the event of a rain delay at any NASCAR event, Schrock will stay at the venue until after the race is run, returning home at a later hour than scheduled. However, if the race is cancelled or postponed until the next day, we will return home due to previous commitments.

Cancellation and Refund Policies:

Regardless of the reason, cancellations result in a costly process of letters, faxes, toll calls, record adjustments, refund checks, etc. For this reason, we highly recommend our Cancellation Insurance Protection. If no insurance is purchased, and you should need to cancel your reservation prior to 45 days before departure of any trip, you will be given a full refund less any ticket purchases or reservations made by and not recoverable by Schrock. Our office personnel will attempt to resell such tickets for you but cannot accept responsibility to do so. Cancellations occurring less than 45 days before departure will result in a $15.00 cancellation fee in addition to any monies non recoverable by Schrock. Cancellations occurring less than 30 days before departure will result in a forfeit of the total tour payment. No refunds will be issued for no shows. No refunds will be given on tours for attractions, meals, etc., in which individuals do not participate.

Additional Tours:

Should you be interested in a tour to a particular destination that we do not have listed or one on a particular date, please check with us. We would be more than happy to keep you informed of other trips scheduled. Many of the charter groups we work with need additional people for their trips and would welcome you.

Any person who cannot travel independently and who would need assistance must be accompanied by a traveling companion who will be able to assist this person. Insurance:

You are fully insured while on our motorcoaches as required by law. It is understood that the carrier assumes no liability for accidents, damages, losses or nonperformance of service on the part of any establishment referred to in connection with the tour. Travel Insurance:

Schrock now offers Travel Insurance to fit your needs. We strongly suggest you inquire about this insurance when booking any multi-day tour with us. If purchased within 15 days of your reservation, it fully covers any pre-existing condition. Insurance can be purchased as late as the day prior to departure: however, the pre-existing condition clause will not apply after the fifteen-day period. Brochures with full details on coverage and exclusions will be provided upon request.

Proof of Citizenship:

If you have any idea you will need a passport in the future, we suggest that you obtain one now. Beginning December 31, 2006 all passengers will be required to have passports for all air and sea travel to or from, Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, Bahamas and Bermuda. Beginning December 31, 2007 this requirement will expand to land travel to Mexico and Canada. If you don’t already have a valid passport be sure to avoid the rush and give yourself plenty of time to apply for one. You may obtain the proper forms through the Clerk of Courts or at the Post Office.

Banking Currency Exchange:

Your tour director and coach captain will assist you with locations for currency exchange. Traveler’s checks should be purchased at your own bank. Although many hotels and stores will accept U S currency, the exchange rate they offer may vary greatly. Actually, the most convenient way to pay for purchases in another country is to use your Credit Card. They change the rate and you are billed in U.S. funds. Since there are no laws enforcing the rate of exchange of foreign currency, we urge you to extend your purchasing power by converting some money to foreign funds.

No Smoking Policy:

Smoking is not permitted and is prohibited by federal law on any Schrock Tour. Rest stops are made every 2-3 hours to give those who smoke ample opportunity to do so. We strictly enforce this policy on our coaches.
